The story of Zamorana

A Vashon
original.
Still hungry?

What started as a taco truck became the island's Mexican kitchen - a place worth building into every Vashon day.

Where it began

From Zamora
to Vashon.

In 2011, Jorge Garnica opened Zamorana as a taco truck outside Sound Food. The name came from his hometown of Zamora, Mexico - and the menu came from the food he grew up loving.

A year later, the truck found a permanent home in town. The setting changed, but the idea stayed exactly the same: make authentic, generous Mexican food and make people feel like family.
